124 Sportline front grill price?

Any one able to EPC me a price?

Was thinking to get one now to freshen up the front end a little since putting on the new wheels.

what else can be done you reckon to freshen up the front end? The star is a keep on the bonnet. I had the coin before, but i got lost looking down the bonnet from the drivers view and not seeing the star that guides me so well!

Yes....i know...AMG front bumper. I really want one of those but i cant be jacked to put in the leg work for one just yet.

dash may come along in a bit and give me one of his

What exactly is a sportline front grill? My car has all the sportline options but the grill looks the same as any other W124.

the sportline grill has more slats i.e. chrome inserts instead of the 3.

if im correct i think the inner part is black as opposed to grey?

As far as I can see on EPC there is no such thing as a Sportline Front Grille
My car has Sportline option - there is no special grille marked for it when I check on EPC - i think you are getting confused with the updated front grille which came with the refresh W124 when it became the E class in 1993

i think it may be called an avantgarde grill, not a sportline grill! the above pic is the one im after.

Mate no such thing as a Sportline grill, what you want is an 'Avantgarde grill'....

These were not produced by M-B as they started showing up after the W124 had ceased production and were made to mimic the 'newer' W210 Grill's... Hence the Avantgarde nickname....

Aftermarket produced alas quality can vary quite alot... Try avoiding somthing made in the far East and stick to something made in Germany...so try Ebay.de...

Its not a permanent mod and can be changed back to original in minutes...

I went quite OEM+ with my cabriolet and still elected for one as they are so subtle and cheap, I beleive even talbir's got one on his E500.... So's dash!

Ok so is someone able to spot me a price on the outer section of the grill? Mines is in ok-ish condition but can be replaced if its a reasonable price.

Brand new forget it, I would say...

Try second hand or better still try some Autosol metal polish and some elbow grease and it should come up like new unless its all dented up!

i got a small dent on it! stone dent looks like but not really somthing alarming its clean otherwise.

mmmmmmmmmmmm not so sure, I have an aftermarket Avantgarde on my old beast but after a year or so with it I have to say that the original grille (post facelift mines a 95) does have a nicer understated look to it, so I will be restoring my old grey mesh one with new stainless strips and plonking it back on me thinks.
