Graham230K - It's not about being incognito, just we all have mouths and I am more than happy to demonstrate my ability not to remember names by repeatedly asking.

I associate name tags and nerds sorry................................:o - Graham230K

seems ive unwitingly caused a mixture of opinions with the "tag" idea :o it seemed an easy way to associate members with cars. with real names, forum names and all the cars its hard sometimes to match it all up, for example i know machasm, scumbag and grav888 by real name now but some attending may not..newer members that may attend for example, i dont mean to upset im just trying to make the best effort to cater for everyone as this is my first time organising a gtg :) dont mean to offend or alienate :o ;)

cars and people are the priority for a gtg "tags" are not, so please dont be put off. apologies where due and again :o

it can be a bit awkward when your not sure who's who, I have visions of introducing myself as SportyReptile to a complete stranger who'll think I'm a complete nutter.

They'll be right of course!

A good idea maybe to compose a list of user names attending against cars so at least your halfway there.

can you imagine Scumbag doing the same :D :D  The following comments could be interesting.

It's a good ice breaker I suppose.

I remember Pietre's son looking at me agast when I visited him to buy his alloys a while back. :p

The look in his eyes said "Dad, there's this mental Welshman at the door called Sportyreptile!!"

I always take a list to any gtg I've organised;)

Apart from looking for BMWs behind skips and sampling the bar, what else happens at these GTGs?

We say ey 'up. Have a look at a car - poke some fun at Pammy, look at another car, poke more fun at Pammy, listen to someone's bass, then poke even more fun at Pammy. You can see the pattern forming already I'm sure:D

We have a good natter, a laugh, discuss problems and thoughts and generally put the world to rights as you do - especially in the bar of the evening:rolleyes: And see how far we can make a bottle of Gin or Brandy go.

If you have anything you want to show off on your car, look at on someone elses or a problem you're not sure what to do about then the gtg is the place to do it. You'd be surprised the breadth of what we cover:p

there's engine gazing, admiring each others cars, talking about the recent topics discussed on the forum, general chit chat, meeting new people, bit of buyin and sellin and the odd thrash down the road and back for those wanting to experience the drive of a different or modded car by those wanting to show off their achievements :) all genuine good fun ;) everything the online forum is; just in person :D

Thanks, I get the picture now, its an abuse Pammy weekend :D as for the bottle of brandy, my best was 2 hours but it was mixed with a bottle of port  and I didnt feel too good the next day.

Ive got a couple of young boys, 6 & 8, are there any other youngsters coming along or are children best not seen or heard?
