Owner states :-

'Possibly the most original, genuine and mint example of a Mercedes 2.3 16V Cosworth in the UK!'

does he mean except for the non original grille, non original wheels, non original window tints, non original headlight 'eyebrow'

spoilers , the home painted 'in the lock-up' bodykit , finished in slightly running out spray can matt finish black , non standard

suspension ...etc etc

Other than that i guess its that same as the day it left the factory ....

No, we're not liking it .....

If you are going to mod it, make it look OEM .......

have to be purist on this...uurrrgggh! i hope a real enthusiast is looking for a project, buys it and then transforms this hash of a job back into a pristine example of one of mercedes finest :)

Think the wheels maybe Lorinser.

Wouldn't take alot to restore it to OEM.

perhaps one for you chap, its clear you have a talent for this kind of thing?

190E was never really my cup of tea! I would rather pay more and buy a lower mileage example so after all the work had been done to it, it was still worth something.

Restoring old cars is simply not worth doing, better off buying a mint one in the first place. I didn't plan the SEC to be a project car, it just turned out alot worst than i thought!

Must be a special factory made non original spec 2.3 cosworth !!. I wasn't aware that they were available with an auto box, I though they all had the dog leg five speed but I could be wrong.

Automatic transmission was available as a factory option. There are a few thousand out there, although the manual transmission is more suited to the revvy 16 valve, four cylinder engine IMO (and as sales stats show!)

HTH :)

Last change of owner was in October last year so not had it long either.
