Hello !

I've a question in mind ! but before asking it let me explain :D

as far as i know; there are two types of EZL modules used on the W201's.

The old one that gets the RPM signal from ignition distributor hall sensor & the new one that gets the RPM signal from the flywheel speed sensor.

the question is, will it work if i used the new EZL module with the RPM signal from the ignition distributor's hall speed sensor?

if yes :thumb: thank you, but if no ! please explain why

It wont work because the ignition maps are different, also the hall sensor trigger points are at differing degrees of engine rotation.

Your right. Another thing is that as these ezl are betting short in supply, i would get one ,if only to put in your spare parts box for a later date.Just look at the price of them secondhand on ebay . Must be the same number on the front of the ezl. If you have one now you can try it on the car first to see if you have a good one from the seller. Dont wait to try it out as it could be a dud one.

I am clearing out the garage and I have two ezl for the m103 if you are stuck as making funds for my 300se efi conversion

aha, yes you are right :)

Gents, thanks a lot
