Hi folks!
Got a 2.6 5-spd, the front is awfully low, suspect the previous owner was either a chav who liked the **** in air look or a cheapskate who bought the wrong or crap springs.
So, I'm looking at springs, the guy at my local ECP says that they are the same for the 2.5 and 2.6, which would make sense but I look at eBay and they have separate listings for the 2.6, with different part numbers etc, surprise surprise the 2.6 springs are more money....the guy at ECP is ok usually so I don't want to suggest to him he's wrong.
Does anyone know the truth? Can I sling the 2.5D springs in and save myself at least 20 beer tokens or should I just get the 2.6 springs and stop being a cheapskate? To make matters more complicated the 2.5D seems to have two variants of spring. Also, is there really any difference between the Suplex, Sachs and KYB springs I see listed? At this kind of price point?
Any help appreciated, ta
