190e

Looks nice but at 106k miles the engine temp and oil pressure look a little sus. Mind you if it was thrown my way I wouldnt refuse :D

diff noise could just mean it needs a diff oil change, as the oil will be pretty black at that mileage

Pretty high spec 190E and looks clean. Looks to have FMBSH, leather seats, newer steering wheel - guess thats what you expect for a 1993 model (last yr of production?)

I would say that engine pressure is pretty low, but the car is in idle, it should go above 3 during driving (something to check out). My E280 sometimes goes slightly under 3 after a long drive (in idle) although its a very strong engine (M114). Always above 3 during driving.

Slightly surprised that its got leather but no alloy wheels?? Maybe being sold separately. A 93 car would have an airbag steering wheel. :) All 190 diffs whine, both mine did for about 100,000 miles.:) Mind you it depends how loud?? where did you guys see the oil pressure and temp figures I must be blind. :o Might be the dreaded head gasket problem both mine went at about 100,000!! nice looking car tho.:D

second pic right hand side of his group of 6

DOH!! ---Looks as tho its just sitting idling 800ish RPM after a run which would explain the high temp low oil pressure. I had forgotten just how simple and elegant these 190's were. I coming over all nostalgic now especially since my last one was blue black.

Chap says noise had to be pointed out to rear seat passengers when on the move...........but he would say that would'nt he. Still looks a nice one though

my 300ce sits at around 1 1/2 and 2 when at idle, but 3 when driving.

when someone is selling a car, why do they always take a picture with next to nothing in the fuel tank? winds me up for some reason ha ha

I agree as long as it shoots up to 3 when driving this is ok

i have to agree, the temp seems high, possible head gasket on the way as the electric fan should have kicked in by now. it should have one on the rad as the car has aircon and my w124 works in the same way with 2 fans on the rad. the w201's shares many components with the w124 and provided the coolant is changed regulary the head gasket should not go at that mileage, after all both models are renowed for their build quality and longevity.

the guy may have come off a motorway run straight into parking it in idle to take pics there for the temp is probably ok, and the oil pressure is fine too. personally i wouldnt have that small 2lt engine, they seem to be fine then suddenly die one day

Yeah, no problems with that temperature ......

Mine gets to that, sometimes even slightly more, before the fans cut in, put a new thermostat in it last year , no head gasket problem on mine .....

Oil pressure seems ok if its been on a run and is just idling while hot, which it is , mine sometimes sits at 2 after a trek and its warm, always shoots up over threee as soon as you touch the gas ...

Wouldn't read too much into it ....

Did one of you buy it?

No but I wouldn't have minded a look at it!
