1963 W111 dynamo to alternator

Hi All

Weve got a 1963 220seb coupe. Were still working on a rebored engine etc and its going well but now the dynamo has packed up! Doe anyone know a matching alternator. Ive got a Lucas that looks like it would fit but not sure

Would love to hear from anyone working on this model, engine, parts etc can send pics

6 cylinder engine generator-alternator conversion - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum
the first alternators had pretty low outputs by today's standards and may have had external regulators meaning a partial rewire. Don't go overboard on alternator output either as the wiring probably won't stand too much higher current.
