Hi, hope someone can help.
I have a 1986 190E petrol manual 2.0L
I partly removed ( pulled forward ) the lower centre dash to retrieve some lost parts after replacing the upper air vent trim, after the sunroof and heated rear screen switches kept dissapearing into the dashboard.
Not sure how to refit it as the 2 heating control square shafts have to be fiddled into their respective square mating holes whilst at the same time the dash has to be pushed back on to the 2 bulkhead brackets and then somehow retighten the brass securing nuts which then seem inaccessible.
Has anyone ever done this before? Be very grateful for any tips.

If you are talking about the large heater control retaining nuts you can use a thin nosed pliers to tighten them up.
