Hi there. Does anyone know how regularly this needs to be done, and how much it should cost. WHich ildo I need for this 4 speed box? Are there any how to's on here showing how it is done. Searched and searched but could not find one

Thanks

Dextron II is what you need. It should be done every 36K on your car.

This is how to change the fluid plus filter
Mercedes Transmission Fluid Change
however this doesn't cover the draining the torque converter but this is covered in this how to on another model.

read both and you should have enough knowledge to tackle the job.

As BlackC55 says use DEXRON 2 OR 3 fluid I favour FUCHS myself. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/pdfs/New-Fuchs/TITAN-ATF-4000.pdf
