Even given what people have said above, if I were closer I'd be having a look at that. If nothing else it would give me something to store my spare 8 holes on (Not sure the wife would like that logic)
The boot was not changed on the C&A 124s,only the bonnet
I think the US facelift cabs had a brake light on the boot but was not available here as far as I know
Out of interest, when did the cabs (or other 124s) get dual airbags? I know some of the later W124s did, but this still has the original style glovebox on the passenger side.

I have changed my view on this car - I think it is a pre-facelift car which has had a facelift bonnet and lights put on it probably as a result of it having a front end shunt. The reasons why I say this is that the interior is pre-facelift in that the car has no passenger airbag and no centre console box. This would explain why the rear lights and bumper are pre-facelift.
If you look on the cars for sale on Charles Ironside's website you can see he has three 320 Cabriolets for sale. One is a red 320CE which is exactly the same as this one other than the front bonnet and lights - the other two are E320 facelifted cars and show the differences that facelifted cars had, which included the passenger airbag and centre console box and different rear bumpers/lights.
My guess is that this car was produced in 1993 and sat unsold for some time in the showroom (don't forget these cars were over £50K in 1993) and was registered in April 1994 (spring - convertibe season)

@lakhbir singh: Then that's not a bad deal, Lakhbir, considering how few are for sale. But if you want the W124, all the other cars in that list should be what you are after
