1997 E200 Manual Transmission Problem

Hi, I have a 1997 E200 with a transmission problem, the car will only go into 1st and reverse, it will not take 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear, i have put a new gear box into the car but its still the same problem,

I would be greatful if some one could help me.....Thanks

Its unlikely you've fitted another gearbox with exactly the same problem which really only leaves the linkage from the gearlever to the gearbox suspect.
