Hi guys!

This morning I was heading down the M3 with cruise on, when I had to brake becasue of some t***er in an A5 cutting in at the last moment to make his exit. When I tried to re-engage crusie it didn't work and hasn't since. Limiter is still fine but no cruise.

Any ideas on where to start to fault find first or is it just live with it because of the age of the car?

** Update **

Just been told this could be a rear brake light switch issue even if all the lights are working. Can anyone add to or verify this?

Lost cruise on my W202 last year and replacing the brake light switch cured it. If it is the brake light switch at fault you would likely have lost ASR as well. Hope it isn't anything more serious.

Thanks for the suggestion Peter - I did have an issue a few weeks back where the ABS / ESP lights came on when I just touched the brakes in slow moving trafiic - when I got home and switched off, re-started, they all reset themselves and no problems since. I have only lost Cruise and nothing else, no warning beeps and no other malfunctions so far....fingers crossed this can be fixed. Is the switch you refer to the one under the brake pedal that I read so much about?

have you found a cure for this yet ?
