Hi All

I am new to the forum, although I have always owned Mercedes.

I have a problem with my w208 clk 230, in that it starts and idles but I have no response from the throttle pedal.

I would appreciate any feedback

Throttle potentiometer is a possiblity.

Throttle flap is another.

Have you had it plugged in yet?

Could be the maf sensor.

Doubt it - If the MAF goes faulty you still get current at the throttle actuator and the accelerator still works.

You have to check if you are getting anything at the throttle valve with the pedal down and if not go back to the unit that the throttle cable terminates on. (the throttle pot)

If you are getting something at the throttle valve in the way of voltage when you put your foot down and nothing is happening, the throttle valve is faulty.

Code read should pick it up.

Thanks Black C55

I have replaced the MAF today, still the same.

I have not had it plugged in yet, although 3 years ago (only 3000 miles though) I had a new EML @ Mercedes in Reading (for non start)

I will try the throttle potentiometer next, its location up on the bulkhead leads me to think it may be susceptable to the weather

W208 CLK 230 sorted!

Hi All
Just to advise that I have sorted the issue, traced to excessive condensation in the box which houses the ECU.
This had resulted in a build up of verdigree on the pins and connectors on the ECU.
Dryed off, cleaned up with good quality switch cleaner and a fine brush.
I'm delighted :bannana:

Hi
Well done.
I wonder if it is a good idea to keep some silica gel crystals in these areas.
