I wonder if this is the same as the Mercedes 6 disk changer that is in my 2003 CLK. If it is, I may be interested. Mine kept saying no disc recently, so I dismantled it, to fathom how it works, and cleaned the laser. When re-assembled it worked again, but do not know if I can trust it, so may be interested in a spare. Does it have the cassette as well?

I should add, mine is part of the bose sound system, I believe, with command 2.

You might need the wiring as well check on the right hand side inside the boot if there no wires for the cd changer you definitely needs it

It will as long as the cd recorded in the correct format won't play MP3

i completely forgot about this. Apart from the wiring, if it's not present, do i need anything else to get going with this?

does it come with the cradle and the CD cartridge?

It might just be the reason to keep the original head unit and add this to play copied / burnt CDs instead of getting a new head unit.
