2002 C class passenger wing mirror has no power

Hi I own a 2002 C-class coupe. The indicator and the electronic mirror in the passenger side wing mirror have recently stopes working (however the wing mirror will still fold and unfold without a problem). I also get an error message "check L mirror indicator".

I haven't got a clue what is wrong with it and my car has failed its MOT due to this problem.

However I have tried the following: - replaced the indicator unit,
-replaced the doors master control unit.
Neither of the above have solved my problem. If anybody know what he fault is and how to fix it I would be very happy.

Have you checked the wiring inside the wing mirror.

Due to the folding action the wires will have broken internally, if you tug at some of the wires you will find some may break easily.

I had a similar problem with my driver side wing mirror with a error message as well. So I took off the wing mirror and I had to resolder every wire. Installed it back on and no more errors and everything works.
