(W216) 2008 CL 500, Tanzanite blue with tan leather. (W230) 2005 SL350, Black with sand leather
Car is up for sale due to being replaced, I've got the starter battery under trickle charge from a Lidel "C-Tek" type charger so no issues there.

Issue is I've had it sitting for nearly 3 months like this, or will have by the time I re-advertise it in January.

Do I need to do anything with the big battery in the boot?

Thanks, Colin.

Yes charge

Yes....as this battery 'stands alone' whilst it's not running.....swap the CTEK over to that battery for a few days every 4 - 6 weeks or so.

Batteries do not like being left inactive for long periods especially when the whether starts freezing.

Update, I can only find one battery!

Thats the one under the bonnet, I could have sworn there were two!

Car is an 03 W203 coupe.

Am I going completely mad?

Why do some cars have the two batteries? Under the bonnet and in the boot?
