Hello all,

I described my problem a month ago at the following thread but could not get anywhere:
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/engi...cdi-alternator-belt-flapping.html#post1769025

The problem seems to be getting worse now (or at least it looks to me), so I've decided to get it solved once and for all.

Since the car is meant to have a solid pulley against clutch type(it already has a sold pulley installed) and has had a new tensioner installed already, my local mechanic has advised to replace the belt and get the shorter one if there is more than one size.

Sellers on ebay are advising 6-rib 2263mm length (6PK2263) whereas when I phone MB, they advise a length of 2241mm and a width of 21.36mm but are not willing to share the part number. I found 6PK2241 as well on ebay.

Can someone please clarify which one I should go for and what should the OE part number?

The VIN is WDB2112062A324764.

Many thanks in advance..

Have you tried euro car parts with your reg they may he able to confirm one way or another the length required .

Just buy it from Mercedes they are not expensive £30ish and you will get the correct belt.
