2004 S211 E500 Boot open warning; wiring diagram for tailgate lock?

Hi all, my E500 estate started randomly pinging the boot open warning in the cluster and putting interior lights on. Its got worse to the point its now running the battery flat overnight.

I believe the tailgate open / closed sensing is in a micro-switch in the latch unit? Can the unit be dis-assembled and cleaned? I've got it out and it doesn't look like it can be. Anyone got a wiring diagram for the 8-pin connector to the latch unit so I can just pull the open sensing wire?

Lol - Not much action here then!!

I left the lock connector off, still pings boot open warning of course but now doesn't toggle at least.

Id plug it into a Star and see what values you get. It could be an issue with the whole boot lock itself or some adjustment on the catch?
