Can anyone please tell me where to find the OBD2 connector on a Mercedes SL320 (2004). I have looked everywhere with no success.

Thank you

look under the dash drivers side and in between the steering wheel and the kick panel on the right and you will see it about half way down

Thanks Malcolm,

There is a plastic panel under the dash on the drivers side - removed it and no OBD2 connector between the steering wheel and kick panel. Do I have to remove the drivers side kick panel to access it? (wish I was a little smaller). Thanks.

Hang on you say 2004 SL320 there is not one of those only the 350 on the 230 chassis, would you just confirm that we are talking about the same car

Sorry its a 2001 SL320. Should wear my glasses.

OBD2 was fitted 1999 on with the 129064 cars, this socket should be under the dash, in the same place, mine was there just to the right of the steering, no panels to take off.

I have known others cars not to have it,, or thats what I have been told.

The 38pin socket is under the bonnet along with the 16 pin one by the lid 20 in the link

Maybe some other owners of a late 129 could say if they have one under the dash
