I have been wanting my Amg mapped since I brought it, Its been decated and resonator delete k&n panel filters only basics. The engine is mechanically sound very quiet and only on 58k with full history. Ive heard of a few places to go to cks and boost junkies but no one knows better than you guys so any advice would be much appreciated

As you're in Derby, Acid at MSL is close to you can't go wrong there mate :thumb:

Just give him a bell and tell him what you're after, if you're unsure just search some of the work that he's done on the forum including mine, I can't recommend him and the team highly enough.

I agree, MSL in Birmingham should be on your list. Acid is a top bloke. A chassis dyno is being installed right now and so you'll be able to have a before/after print out of power/torque if you await a few weeks.

The normally aspirated 55 engine isn't known for big gains from a remap, so don't be disappointed if you don't get a big numerical increase in power/torque, however the car should feel more sprightly.

I will be getting in touch with them then :) thanks for the advice. I know what your saying with the 55 only be N/A been thinking of having headers but they arnt cheap at all and also heard that if I want to run headers to get the best results I should put cams in also. Does anyone know if the headers come up used at better prices? And one of the main reasons for a map is to get rid of the 155 limiter it's bugs me

The best mods you can do is fit a Quaife ATB diff, and fit coilovers.

Then. Supercharge it.

Hi Aaron,

I'm in Derby and looking to get resonator delete then decat. I was hoping to get it done locally but of the first two places I tried, one wouldn't even look at the job and the other had it up on ramps and said the inlet side and the outlet side of the resonator were different diameters and he'd have to stretch the stainless steel replacement pipe. Sounds like alot of parlava for what I've read is a simple job.

Anway did you get the deletes done locally and can you point me in the right direction for my C55 AMG? Cheers Dunc

Hi the exhaust was already done when I brought the car, But I have been under the car quite abit and taken plenty of photos of things being done for service history purpose when I did the gearbox filter gaskets and oil. I have been trying to upload them onto here but for some reason it will not let me I have reached a limit?? If you wanted to take a look at mine some time your more than welcome

Was it expensive? And does it remove the 155 limit

No and not sure but to be honest I know Paul so got a good price and I have no interest in going over 155 on a race track let alone normal roads :-)

speak to Acid, he will tell you if its worth it or not, limiter alone can be removed if thats all you want.

Mr Miggins, Acid can arrange the decat. some places just dont want the work!

I believe Paul is nearer. I'd be doubtful of large power increase claims as there isn't a lot of gains from the NA 55 engine.
No the TM doesn't need to be changed

How much are the diffs?? And is there a good reason to change it whats wrong with the standard one?

About £1700 fitted. The standard diff is not great for fast driving.

They improve traction massively and make it much more fun.

I can help with a remap too.
