2007 '56' 320cdi avantgade estate.

You would have to pay the full amount - on ServicePlus they surcharge if you go over the annual mileage.

I reckon the Service Package inc brakes and tyres at £4200 for 80K miles is on the high side but not a million miles out. The thing is, as I find with ServicePlus that I have, you'd be amazed at how little servicing these cars *really* need. MB won't be changing pads and disks a bit early as they would expect you to do as a cash paying customer, and they'll only change tyres when they're at 2mm.

Would they also limit the number of tyres? Otherwise I can see some heavy cornering ..:D:D

Our company policy is to hire cars if people have to travel more than a trivial mileage.

I was getting auto mid-size car at £22 + VAT per day including zero excess unlimited mileage, servicing, two drivers (£20 for a manual). Average use per day was around 160 miles. Petrol was basically coming in at about £12 to £13 per day + VAT.

So all in the cost per mile was working out at 22p.

Petrol prices can shift that up/down a bit
That's incredibly cheap for unlimited mileage daily hire. Is that rate unique to some large multi-national organisation?

I don't use my car much, but when I get it it I'm generally going to be doing a 200-350 mile round trip. At those rates I'd be far better off hiring than using my own car. I suppose the killer would be that with an early start and late arrival at home I'd generally need the car for 2 days.

When I had a fully maintained leased company car we had a bit of a row with one leasing company as the Cavalier SRI's we had were going through front tyres in 10-12K miles. The lease company reserved the right to surcharge us if the tyres lasted less than 30K miles but I don't think they ever did charge us.

I would avoid included tyres as it's a real nightmare getting the change point right - and leasing companies are always keen to to fit budget tyres, or at least something different to the ones you want.

Back to the OP...

Is this the same car?

I agree with the myth of the (christ my cars got 100,000 miles on)Where on earth did this come from?I know people who think 20,000 is a lot. I have just bought a Merc 320 cdi Avantgarde on a 56 plate with 79,000 motorway miles and fmbsh and drives as new.I would be more concerned about these miles if they had been done over a period of say 6 years and done around town, short trips over speed bumps, cold oil starts etc.
Think about it,how much wear is on the steering, suspension, gearbox etc etc when travelling on motorway on smooth surfaces in top gear with oil at ideal temperature.
Just for the record,my car is a one owner with every extra and sports pack.Regersterd in 2007 on a 56.Paid £11,500 last week !

Hi everyone,I've just bought my first Merc(320 cdi avantgarde estate)
2007 car on a 56 plate,1 owner with a full merc s/h.Car is mint and has loads of extras fitted.Sports pack, full heated leather, sat nav in fact would be easier saying what it ain't got.It has 79,000 motorway miles and looks new.
I've just paid £11,500 for it,which correct me if I'm wrong? Is about same price as a new Ford focus or simular.I know there's a credit crunch but I think I've done well here, what do you think?

Hi Guys,My Merc 320 cdi has full merc service history(07 car) Question is,Is it worth paying the service prices to keep up the Mobilo warranty ?My computer is showing a one spanner service is due. What price should I expect to pay for this?

Hi All,I am trying to find the paint code for my 2007 merc 320cdi.I know it is metalic silver, but want to be sure I get right shade when buying a touch up pen.Where can I find this code ?

Hi guys,My 2007 56 plate 320cdi sat nav is needing an upgraded disc allready? New road completed about 18mths ago, shows me taking off over the grass.
First question . Can this be upgraded(disc)?
secondly,how much ?

Hi all,I have just tried to set off my alarm on my 320cdi and all I am getting is flashing indicator lights(no alarm sound).Car is a 2007,any ideas would be most welcome, before I book it in to be looked at???

So, it begs the question is it really mint? And that's some mark-up on price  And the mileage... when you say 100k you mean 79k or 84k

I would be interested but I am a little confused (agreed it doesn't really take much)

Funny

Full alarm system replaced on warranty 2 weeks ago at mercedes scotswood rd,Newcastle upon tyne.Cant help sat nav discs going out of date, they all will.As for the touch up pen,who doesn't buy one when they buy a second hand car ?Makes no difference what I paid for it.At £13000 its a very very good buy,and now have plenty interest in it.Thankyou

Didn't think the W203 facelift showed spanners regarding services -- just A or B.

So we seem to have a disguised trader in our midst...:D

Well balanced though - got a chip on both shoulders.

This is a negotiated ongoing rate for a small business that uses the same branch of Enterprise a lot - and doesn't mess them around, and gives them a few days notice, most bookings 3 to 5 days, and not making too much of a fuss as to actual vehicle type if they can't give what's preferred. We don't get these rates if we turn up at an out of area branch such as an airport. But to be fair to Enterprise their headline rates are usually way lower than Hertz and Avis anyway - partcularly for small/mid-range autos..

There are cheaper general corporate rates available for large companies but they tend not to include insurance and have mileage limits.

I would add that in a lot of the wheeling and dealing that goes on we don't generally see our large clients get better deals with regard to corporate purchasing except when it comes to business class air travel or worst case (turn up at reception with no reservation) hotel rates.

In some cases we see them get significantly worse deals.

is it sold or not ? :)

I expect he hasn't go the time to tell us.....:D
