2007 SL350 Brakes

I'm getting ready for my dealer to tell me my car needs new discs and pads to cure the squealing brakes. I'm also getting ready for them to tell me as serviceable items they're not covered even though it's done it from the day I drove it away as an approved used car...

So, could someone in the know please confirm the following...

The front and rear discs are the same for SL350's from 2003 to the current date. I'm a little surprised at this, but it seems to be what all the disc manufacturer sites suggest.

I believe the pads changed in 2006 with the first facelift... could someone also confirm this please.

Sorry to 'bump' this, but I really hope someone with access to a parts list can confirm things for me please.
