2008 ml rear spring broken

Hi guys. New to the forum. Was just wondering if any 1 had ever changed the rear spring or does the shock have to be done aswell. Is it possible to do at the house? Thanks in advance

I think you are getting mixed up with early ml's? Your model is different and has a separate spring and shock, can be done at home but you will need a decent spring compressor.

That's the 1 I was asking if both needed removing to do the spring? Does anybody have a guide on changing it?
