I have a 58-plate C Class and it has always annoyed me how out-of-date the satnav is.

Can anyone point me towards someone who can provide an inexpensive upgrade? c.£190 from MCB is ridiculous!

Thank you, Dave

£190 is very cheap. Who are MCB? Dealers are up around the £250 level. Comand Online are at £219 for the latest disk.

V7 is the latest disk for that car.

Sorry about the typo - should have been MB (Mercedes Benz).

I would respectfully beg to differ about the price. £190 is exceptionally expensive when you can buy 3 brand new satnavs for this kind of money.

£190 was an offer I received through the post from MB.

I feel daft when going somewhere new I have to use my trusty (easily upgradeable) Tomtom.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, Alfie :)

Really? Mine is 4 yrs old, I drive all over the country and it's caused me no issues at all. Are you using yours elsewhere in Europe - I gather coverage in some countries is much improved on later disks?

There is absolutely no way I'd pay a couple of hundred pounds for an update. Just ain't going to happen.

I feel this is the major benefit of the newer hard drive based systems. Once you update the maps you can sell the disk on and get back most of your money. I have done this twice to keep the maps up to date.
