2009(59) E350 W212 Sat Nav/COMAND Version(UK)

Hi,

I have just recently purchased a second hand E350 W212, which has comand fitted. I believe that this version of comand no longer uses a DVD, but built in HDD storage instead (couldn't find no sat nav box in the boot). I was just wondering if any one on this forum from the UK could tell me what the latest version of the sat nav is?

Also could someone tell me what the latest COMAND version is? I know I can check this by getting into the engineer mode but not sure which is the latest version!

There may well be a newer version but I haven't updated mine yet but at last check i was running v6.0 2012 maps/firmware, you'd probably have to pay for an updated map set because I don't believe it qualifies for the 3 year free map update with the car being a 59 plate.

Hi Dr Nab,

Apologies for the late reply. Took my car in today for a service, and I asked if they could update the Maps for me. They said, yes as its still under warranty.

So I've got my car back now and checked the settings under 'Navi', and everything still appears to be the same i.e No 3D maps etc....

How did you check you have v6.0 2012? I think I have 2010 maps.
