My airmatic on my 2012 CLS550 w218 went out last week....the car was slammed to the ground on all four wheels. I had the car towed to the dealership based on my service advisors advice. Apparently, there have been issues with what they call the "pre-fuse" box. The relay (built into the pre-fuse box) goes bad causing the airmatic suspension to become inoperative.....no warnings on the dash or anything....just didn't work. They replaced the fuse box and ultimately also replaced my 2 rear air springs since they believe it was probably damaged from sitting so low. I wonder if they MB redesigned this "pre-fuse" box or did they just put in the same one back in? Anyways, glad to have the car back....keeping my fingers crossed that they have addressed this "pre-fuse" box issue with a modified unit.
