2012 F1 Australian GP - Mercedes Benz C63 Black vs Triple Eight Racing V8 Supercar vs

Mercedes AMG C63 2:24.0614
V8 Supercar 2:05.5405
Formula One car 1:39.0986

Interesting idea, but such a shame that they obscured the cars crossing the finishing line with their graphic. Someone should have told the cameraman...

If that's a V8 supercar, what is an AMG black described as? A V8 shopping cart?

Guessing the supercar is stripped out and race prepared, while the AMG will be in road-going spec. Should be a significant weight difference.

Those V8 supercars (Holden and Falcon) are as far from being the real deal stripped out and race prepared as possible.

To say that they are an original Ford or Falcon prepared for racing, is like saying a F1 car is a modified Clubman.

They are very much like your 2lt sedan class in the UK, sequential gearboxes, F1 brakes, etc.

That makes more sense. Just strange to call it a supercar, rather than a GT car or something. Must be the language differences I guess. :D

I don't see the point it just shows if you give a any car a big enough head start it will beat a F1 to the line !!
