Woody, thanks for the offer. I've become a bit of a regular here, so they're quite happy to accept the reservation without a deposit. Out of courtesy to the restaurant, I would just ask folks to make amendments to the list if circumstances change.
 
Just had a look on the map, any further East we would be in Norway;) might even book a room and make a weelend of it. Looking forward to it.

It's a long way from home for you west coast guys!

I've never stayed at the Castle Inn, so can't comment on the rooms but I'm happy to vouch for the standard of scoff available. Plenty of accommodation available in East Lothian though, so you won't be stuck.

No problrm at all, not been on the East coast very much, depending on the weather might stay around for a few days.:)

TJ, sorry Liz can't make it. I could suggest that you take back a 'doggie-bag' for her, but the chances are that Hoover-mouth (***) won't leave much behind.

Irene (Mrs) and I have just booked a room. According to the web site there is 25% off all food and drink during March. Also as luck would have it, two course dinner, bed & full breakfast £40 PP. Cheap as chips:)
 
Looking forward to this. Just opened the linky..http://www.castleinndirleton.com/ and if it's the same Bert D'Agostino that I used to know I may just remind him of the time I pulled his son from the waters of the Forth after his dinghy overturned. ;)
 
Just noticed this, I'll be up for that, how do I add my name to the list ?
Dirleton is just along the road from me, we (my wife & I) have eaten at the Castle a few times, it is very nice, food very good, large beer garden at the back.
If anyone is going to make a week end of it, and staying over, then if you play golf, pack your golf bats, as there is no shortage of golf clubs in the area.
