2019 W213 E220D AMG Line - Front centre storage compartment.

Brought from new in May 2018 and the lid has developed a crack. MB are saying that the whole section needs to be replaced at a cost of £900.00! I have of course told them I expect it to be covered by the warranty and my local dealership is applying for authority. My question is, has anybody experienced this on an "in warranty" vehicle and if so, what was the outcome, please?

Where is the actual crack? on the lid itself or the mechanism? My mechanism cracked somehow and I got them to change it under warranty

Seedy, thanks for this and in my case, it is only the lid, which has crack.
