225/45/17 on w124!!!

Howard

I can see in your picture where yours were rubbing. :D

Many of the 124's with 225's I've seen rub ever so slightly in the exact same spot.

if i do not lower my car will there be rubbing issues?

thanks

That was where it had the wrong wheels on it before i got it ( offset was ET25 ) ...

Never rubbed while i had it.

See this thread ....

W124 AMG cars came with 225/45/17's from the f a c t o r y ...... , anyone that tells you that if you go bigger than 215/45/17 it will rub is dead wrong.

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/70517-mercedes-230w-w124-abs-light-help-pls.html

BUT AMG modified the cars to ensure absolutely no rubbing under any circumstances with those sizes.

There is a paper (somewhere) with the modifications that they did to the bodywork.

Suggest interested people google it.

thanks man.I wish that you are right.:)
But if u had the choice between 215/45/17 and 225/45/17, which one u will choose?

thanks.
Look man:Many of us told you that 225/45 is the best way to go.If you like you can have 215/45 front and 225/45 or even better 235/45 for the rear.
