My indie that i use for repairs very kindly loaned me a courtesy car , a s reg rover 400 hatchback until the new belt is fitted , now this little rover drove lovely and is very economical only 1400cc , so i asked how much he wanted for it and he said £280 with a yrs mot , and has just had the head gasket replaced by them , so i said done deal , i will park my merc up and only use it for the odd long journey , and will use the rover as my works car , i reckon i will save £30 a week in fuel , so in a few mnths it will have paid 4 itself , if i get a yr out of it it owes me nothing ...

Yes it will cost me a little bit more to add to my policy , but not a lot i reckon, and it has only 89000 on the clock , and sounds very sweet the engine that is, i will only be doing 100 miles a week in it if that ,oh and a electric sunroof that works ,more than my mercedes has got!!!.That's a great result and don't forget the has most likely got a scrap value of £100 or so when it all comes to an end.
