280SE 3.5 V8 Coupe/Cabrio Wanted

I am an owner of a 280SE 3.5 for more than a year now and I have my sights set on a W111 3.5 V8 Coupe/Cabrio if one can be found.

I drove a 6 cylinder Coupe last week and it just did nothing for me. After driving a 3.5 V8 280SE I just can not see myself settling for anything less.

Can anybody assist me in my search or point me in the right direction.

do you know Ben of the Merc Owner's club? He organises quite a few events in the Dublin area and has a W111 coupe too. He might know where to source what you're looking for. How is the 3.5 on mpg?

They do crop up quite regularly in the M-B Club Gazette classifieds , be prepared to pay upwards of £20K for a decent one though .
