Can any one help the back tailgate on my 300te will not stay up if you are parked with it facing uphill and it does seem to slam when its closed is there an adjustment for it ? Also is it a big job to change the struts?

the struts are on the way out. Pound to a penny its abilities to hold the tailgate up are worse when the weather is cold. They will probably continue to work for years.

Reading old threads here changing them is a bit of an ache in the groin region (headliner needs partial removal which might make re-fitting a job). Tail is also heavy so a few friends to hold it whilst changing strutts might be a good idea. That said it makes a HUGE difference once installed.
