300D Service

Having just bought a '92 300D with 130,000 miles, and a service history of mainly oil/filter changes after 70,000 miles, would it be worth taking it to a garage for a major service, or would I be wasting my money?

How much would a major service cost?

Does anybody know a GOOD reliable garage in Manchester who knows the business about MB?

Definately worth the once over in my opinion.

The only independant MB specialist that I know in that general direction is Andy Gayle. You can find him regularly posting on "the other forum" and he has a very good reputation.

The only slight hurdle is he's based in Birmingham...but I recon its its still worth the drive. Give him a call in any event, and you'll see why he comes recommended.
