300SL wanted 86-89 and help!

a lot comes down to the sort of driving you do, i live on the A5 and do a lot of A roads so the 300 would just be boring for me... i love to hear the v8 grumble and need the power to take over anything that gets in my way... however if you are just driving to tescos then the 3 litre is fine..

I have to agree the 300 is not the pick of the crop, drive a 500, then tell me you want a 300.

And NO mine isnt for sale.

ok, thanks for the line of thought! prob 300 as first thought as majoirty of driving is "everyday". its the variant in people's pricing, am aware its all about condition and history but there is such variance in same car different garage/ private seller! thanks guys though for comments which are useful.

Hope you find what you are looking for at the correct price.:D

:D :D I think this thread has shown that folks feel passionate about their SL's and I'm sure that whatever model you buy you'll be very happy with it.

Good luck,
John

WE DEFINATELY ARE..... just bought a nice outdoor carcoon for mine so i can have the SEC in the garage... my other half thinks spending £500 on a car cover is mad... what does she know eh?

Never ever leave a 107 outside without that sort of protection!

A wedding cake will cost as much, and that will be gone within minutes.

A carcoon is for life, not just for ...er ...a few minutes!! :D
