Hi,
I've become a bit disheartened by travelling big distances to find "exemplary" "immaculate" or even "excellent" examples of 320sl which turn out to have various body issues or have been trashed inside. I think they must all be being sold by estate agents, as the definition of "full history" seems very flexible, in the last two cases the fact the car was last serviced 5 years ago still seemed to count!!
I'm looking for a solid unmolested car that will be used rarely but kept for a long time. Prefer straight 6 to V, but will look at 500 also.
If anyone knows or hears of a decent 320sl or any variant of r129, could they let me know. I'm based North of the border, and will check in periodically.
