320CE wide body twin turbo

yea i reckon that is the case here, emissions! and no, you don't need 2 of the same cars, however, if what the seller is saying is true, that its an original hughes car, then its perhaps better than a diy twin turbo therefore worth buying

I looked at this thread and the first thing that occured to me was 'Mark would have been the man to ask about the engine issues'. Which made me feel sad...

Another dream dashed.:( No question, it looks superb in the photos...

...then read further into the ad and take on board the knowledgable comments here...

Next!

the barron auction description mentioned the amg connection almost as an afterthought, has it been retro amg'ed and then had the wide body conversion and the the twin turbo. If so you're probably buying a pig in a poke, caveat emptor me thinks.

There's nothing AMG about it. It's an E320 with suspension upgrade, a fibreglass widebody conversion and then one of the TT kits bolted on. The only issue with it is they've decided to use a home made engine wiring loom linked to a custom ECU and it doesn't run properly.
It would be worth trying to get the ECU working but if you can't then you'd have to rip out the ECU and wiring loom, replace it with a standard loom and ECU then use a stand alone ECU to fire a 7th injector.
I'm sure I could get it working but I'd end up with two E320 coupe TTs and that's just daft.

I agree but if it was a salon it would be diff

I think it looks good, but it would need to be approved upon for my own taste.
If it was in good working order, it would be a superb buy!

The description of the car is rather crap, I have to say!
Has anyone noticed it claims there are electric front seats, but only the driver's seat is electric
Also the wide aches don't look quite right with the standard side skirts and rear bumper. Even with the complete AMG kit, it would require some widening to look right, similar to what BitsG did to his E36 AMG.

Well you could buy it to sort it out. Drive it a little while and decide which car you ultimately prefer. Then sell the other one ;)

You know it makes sense

Well I do have some brand new AMG side skirts in the garage....

I`m very sorry mate but i`m gona have to say ugly.Them arches need wider alloys as they are way to wide. What kit is that though?Looks like gemballa style
Welcome to the forum.

It's almost as ugly as the concrete "Fountain" in the drive.

It's ugly as hell :( Wheels don't fit well with the size of the kit, it looks plasticy, and the kit itself is ugly IMO... (You also might want to get the correct bonnet for the car... - that one apart from looking ridiculous, blocks half your lights.)

back arch line just looks wrong and unbalanced.
I admire the bravery though...

I can appreciate that an awful lot of work has gone into that ..... but sorry , hideous.
