Hi i have a 2015 C Class 350e and i have notice that the seat belts don’t take the slack back when you put them on like my old C Class did. I know you can turn them on and off but can’t find the setting. Has any body else had this problem with a 350e and do you know where the belt tensioners setting is on the vehicle.

As far as I remember you go to the vehicle functions in the command system from the home screen and select the desired action for the seat belts.

Every time I start the car all front seat passengers are "hugged" by the belts. Spooky

If it can be disabled I guess it is in the Vehicle settings.

My 350e doesn't do the belt hugs :( I used to enjoy it on the SLK. I had a check within the digital user guide and it explains how to switch the setting on and off for it, but I don't have that particular screen within my settings menu.

Odd?!

These cars all sound a little inconsistent!

If I were you I would press the telephone button on the overhead panel and pose the simple question "Should I be able to set the belts to hug me as described in the manual" ?

It is possible that the car's software needs reloading. I doubt that the dealer would know if it should be there or not.

I tried the special button...no joy though. They said to pop into a dealership and ask if they know anything further. The setting is definitely in the digital manual, but not in the car itself.

Does your car settings menu have "Seatbelt adjustment" in it 350e?

I will check it out in the morning but just looking through my hand book I am told that the system, which only operates on the front seats, can be switched off via the multimedia panel. That's where I will start :)

The manual for the C Class Comand in the US of A shows it

Trust this works. It's on page 37 of the whole Comand manual (USA version) a PDF at

It's not an option on my premium plus spec.

But are you hugged by your belt when you start up ?

It might when I find that elusive Surrey Elk loitering in the middle of the road

Reading the blurb, belt tensioning is only available if you selected the PreSafe package.

Just as I suspected, you have to buy love :)
