Hi,

I have just finished installing the above comand to my e-class and am impressed with the quality of the unit but I find the birds eye 2D map a little confusing.

On tom tom there was a nice 3D map and I could enter full post codes.

The 2004/2005 version of UK and Ireland teleatlas I have seems to have neither of these options.

I was wondering if 2007 version is any better?

Thanks Adam

You need to take into consideration which year the respective technologies first appeared on the market. You will find that the 1997 version of Tom Tom Go weighed about 2kg and was only sold to the USA armed forces and cost about $3,000 at the same time as the MB unit was released and neatly installed into the dashboard.

The comand in your car will only show birds eye view. The 2007 disk will not allow a 3D view.

Thanks for the replies.

Also I would just like to show my appreciation to this group. It has provided me with vast amount of info without which I could not have fitted the comand.

Cheers

Adam
