450bhp SEC!!!!

I saw this earlier and thought that even with the NOS 450bhp is optimistic. Looks nice tho and if it sounds like KLP'S V8  then its worth a bid :D

That particular year the 560 was a 272BHP engine. The Nitrous will give you 100BHP, no more, so that makes a total of 372BHP. Now bearing in mind the engine is now 19 years old and 147k later i would doubt its anywhere near 450BHP. Don't think i would want to put the engine under more stress after that mileage!

Realistically after i decatted mine, fitted a K&N air filter, high lift cams and a full engine build i would say mines near the 360BHP mark, but more importantly my power is constantly available. Wouldn't mind seeing the nitrous conversion, could be a future mod!

The car's looks very nice, its a replica AMG kit by the looks as the front bumper doesn't have the AMG logo.

The exhaust will sound different from mine. The way my system has been set up is to have the front box removed completely to get the added raspiness and V8 burble. I had 2 silencers fitted at the rear of the car, one on each side, to stop the boominess. When driving the car the exhaust isn't loud or overly intrusive, and once on motorway speeds is hardly audible. Outside the car, it sounds lethal as many of you at the GTG may have heard :D I had my own design made out on advice from other performance companies. The rear bumper on mine is a customised Lorinser one so that the silencer on the driver's side remains hidden. On the AMG rear bumper you can't fit a silencer on each side as it will stick out like a sore thumb!

The one one ebay is nice..... but it has got nothing on yours KLP :D

I just sent the guy a mail, asked what he has done to it to make it 450bhp!!
This was his response.

Hi thanks for enquiry. When I purchased the vehicle it was running at 307bhp since then I have added a straight through custom sports exhaust giving the car an extra 10 to 15 percent increase + twin KnN fillters which gives me an extra 2 to 5 percent, some say more, namely the manufacturers. The Nos at the moment it set at a ratio to give me an extra 100bhp. So 307 + 100 + for argument sake, 12 percent = a very quick car with luxury and comfort. There has been alot of work carried out before I bought it. The company which did the work was called Bruce Durant.
With the Nos you can potentialy run as much as you like so long as you set the fuel/nitro ratio correctly. I would however ensure the driveshaft is overhauled before increasing it.
Hope this answers your excellent question.
Regards Will

Spoke to him as well. Here are some pics he forwarded on to me. There is alot of rust on the car, the arches, inside the boot, rear parcel shelf etc.

Also the car is the non metallic dark blue, not blue black, looks like someones been tweaking the colour settings:rolleyes:

Also the way the K&N filters are set up will result in a loss of power as the car will be sucking in hot air, and believe me its hot in the engine bay! You need cold air from outside to run it effeciently!

And "nitro" is nitromethane, which is nothing to do with NOS (nitrous oxide)!
