Does anyone have problems with this box? I own an A class 200 CDi (11k) and have trouble moving up from 5th gear in auto mode.

MB informs me that I should shift up using manual. I cannot believe that MB wiould have developed a box which does not move up automatically into 6th and 7th gears.

Hi,

I had one of these for a couple of days while my C class was in the garage. I was initially surprised at the number of gear changes, but then realised there were 7 gears. Can't say I used anything other than full auto and the gearbox changed all the way up to 7.

I'd speak to MB again if I were you.

A and B class don't engage top unless selected by the driver. That's my experience of a B anyway.
