So the other day I decided to check if the first gear start works. I put the gear selector on position 2 and flicked it to the right (B), this made the car more lively!

My question is how does one use this:
1. Do you keep the gear selector in the 2->B position and the car will shift up?
2. Do you flick it back to the 2 position before driving off??
3. Once you've selected 2->B do you put it back in D before driving off?

I tried it in 1 and 3 and like i said the car was very lively, but I don't want to do to any damage if it doesn't shift up..

Also at what situation do you put the gear selector in position 3?

Thanks

Personally, I would leave it in drive and just vary the pressure of your right foot a little more. :D

Thats what I've been doing :) But sometimes its pretty slow of the mark as it pulls out in 2nd gear
