97 w140 s320 won't start after battery change

Hi. New to site. Had my 97 s320 limo booked in for mot and took battery off to charge. Put back on and now won't start, turning over but no fire. Not knowing anything about mercs I was told after I should have left a feed to battery before removing completely. How can I get my baby going again????

First thing is to try locking and unlocking car a few times to synchronise the locking and immobiliser.

Immobiliser may be preventing starting.

You may need to synchronise the key to the sensors as per the owners manual (as if you had put new batteries in key).

Tried but no joy, turn ignition to position 2 and the triangle amber warning light, fuel light and all others are staying on where as normally they would cut out after a few seconds???
