anyone got access to this?

903 series, 4 locks (the module has space for 5) - genuine merc, all electric, no vacuum.

i asked at my local merc commercial dealer - much better than the car versions! the mechanic fired up the star computer in the workshop, and printed me off a sprinter wiring diagram (to be uploaded if anyone wants it) - plus an engine ECU wiring diagram (so i can connect my diagnostic computer to it...

he also had a look at the auto box control cable - but confessed he didnt know much about autos.. but he didnt have a clue what was wrong with the lock system:-

Lock problem.. requires (almost 95% of the time) 3 'locks' to make it lock - the first two it locks, then immediately unlocks - almost as if the system thinks a door is open.

all three doors work fine (back, two fronts). there USED to be a side door lock (now a fridge  ) now unplugged. plugging the lock back in makes no difference.

Hi Guy,
I was hoping someone might be able to help with your query.

Our first Sprinter was terrible for this problem, and the dealership replaced the electronic part of the central locking several times.

Unfortunately I have no idea of the work they actually carried out. With our new Sprinter this 'two or three attempts to lock' symptom re-appeared but this time it was due to a poorly adjusted sliding door.

I wish I could be more helpful, sorry.

On a seperate issue, if you have the twin opening rear doors, make sure you keep the hinges well lubricated. The metal of some of these hinges react with the steel of the bodywork and can 'fur up' terribly.

Regards,
John
