Maybe £1800 with a year's ticket.

But what would it be worth as scrap?

Circa £250 for a second key and how much to sort out the known rust?

You could easily be at £3000 with a few issues sorted out plus this engine did have balance shaft issues although by no means all did

Capitalising every word in the description puts me off 🙄

Saying its an AMG puts me off!!!
Listed as a private seller but has 6 cars for sale including two Astra which have the same photographs with two different descriptions.

Yep, there’s thousands of pounds worth of difference between a £2k and £3k car

My '08 is on slightly less mileage, but has the (very late) 312 bhp engine non-CGI M272 engine, which is outside the balancer shaft problem range. It's the quietest MB engine I've ever had, and it runs like a Swiss watch. It does have a full service history, though, as opposed to the partial on that car, and my car rides well (Elegance trim, 18" wheels) and drives exactly as you would expect. I paid 3k for it (no rust, though - yet...), to a dealer against a Totalcarcheck forecourt valuation of £4K, and I reckon I bought a bargain. Besides, it's Tanzanite with an Amaretta interior...

That car It could be a potential money pit, but there's nothing frightening in the MoT history, if the balancer shaft problem was going to occur it would likely have done so by now, it has a very good spec (if everything works...), and it could be worth a punt at that price. If anybody's seriously interested, it's only ten miles or so away from me, so I could go up in my nice one to take a look and see how it drives by comparison.

For the asking price I would see it as a project knowing there will be extra expense to come.
For the asking price I see it as an EBay scrap project.

Your car is a much nicer colour combination 👌

And his feedback is private to prevent people seeing the long list of cars that he has undoubtedly previously sold.

A lot of potential for just a grand more:

One owner, nice spec, nappa leather, yada yada. It's still on sale after a month of advertising.

£3k: what a bargain price for a £40k car

But caveat emptor, as always.

As said, a good specification, one owner and a decent engine, not as good as the 350 though and the RFL is £710 which might put many off if it is a weekend car?

It would be more saleable with new MOT?
