a140 tick over problem

hi my 1998 a140 starts fine and sounds great but after about 1min it suddenly cuts out turn the key and it will do exactly the same run then cut out sometimes it will tick over very rough for about 2mins then cut out any help pls

How about fuel starvation - fuel filter nearly blocked, had a VW that did that and it was the filter in the top of the tank.

have the faults checked the airmass meter is built into the engine control unit they trouble. also check the wiring loom at the engine control unit it rubbs of the top of the airbox
