A207 Comand Audio upgrade

I have just purchased a 2013 E350 Cabriolet, with the COMAND 4.5 Head unit and no Harmon Kardon.

I'm looking to improve the quality of the Audio.

I've already bought Hertz speakers to replace those in the front doors and plenty of sound deadening material, which I shall be fitting when the weather allows.

I have amplifiers and a subwoofer which I shall also be looking to install later on.

I looked up the pin outs for the COMAND HU and it appears not to have any line level outputs, only amplified outputs for the speakers.

Is there a way to disable the on-board amplifier and EQ in the Engineering menu? or will I have to invest in an Audison Bit ten so I can get a full range line level input for my amps?

You cant diasble the built in amplifier.

There are many amps on the market that will take speaker level inputs. As you dont have HK the speaker outputs are full range.

You can achieve some stunning results by changing just the speakers for good quality ones such as Morel.

I've gone for an Audison Prima AP 8.9 Bit amplifier, so I should have plenty of flexibility to setup the sound to my taste.

I may look to add a DAB module at some point in the future as well.

Can anyone confirm the speaker sizes required to replace those in an A207 E350 Cdi Convertible (2012)?
