Hi everyone

I have owned a XK Dynamic R for 9 years from new
Just about to collect 2022 ex demonstrator C43 AMG Coupe with 50 miles on the clock

I am bound to have lots of questions but my first one is about battery (ies) run down during long holiday (100days cruise)
On the Jaguar I connect a CTEC charger whilr I am away and never have problems

How should I deal with this on the new car?

Welcome :)

You can use the CTEK charger on the C43, as long as it's got an option for stop-start batteries. I use one on mine as I work from home and the car regularlay sits on the drive for a couple of weeks at a time.

Many thanks for quick reply Does the car have one or two batteries and what is special about stop start battery. Where is it (they) located

A stop/start battery in general has an absorbent glass mat (AGM) structure, and any charger needs to be able to charge an AGM battery. I have the CTEK MX5.0 and this will do it. The battery is located under the bonnet, it's under a cover in front of the passenger side windscreen. However you don't need to expose the battery to charge it, there is a sliding panel just in front of it which gives you access to a live terminal and further towards the front is a brass earth point, so that makes it easier to connect your charger.

Purchase a older c63.

Enjoy :)

I'm shortly swapping mine in for a new BMW 340i after four years of very enjoyable ownership. Lots of fun :)

I guess you will be joining another forum then

Guess I did some time ago :) Doesn't mean I'l; be leaving here though. I'm still a mod on the Focus ST site from when I had one of those :)

MBClub is a surprisingly sticky place. Lots of regular contributors remain active even when they replace their Mercedes with another marque.
Dear all

just returned from collecting new c-43 Coupe 50 miles on clock. Only had it for one hour - but what a car! I think it will take weeks to understand all of the options and electronic functions
I am awaiting retention certificate to transfer my personalised plate from the XKR
