ABS Fault appears on dash when turning corners and if I turn corners at a higher speed (30) then the speedo stops and starts!!! HELP. Had the codes read today and the codes said faulty speed and wheels sensor on all four wheels!? When speedo stops, the gearbox won't change up or down.

Fault doesn't happen when driving straight or turning slowly. Only happens when car is leaning whilst cornering. Hope this makes sense to someone.

ANY IDEAS??????:dk::dk::dk::dk::dk::dk:

Car is a 2002 w208 clk200k.

Bearings a bit loose, allowing the speed sensor loose the signal at turns?

Tried that. All bearings okay and all the pick-up rings are okay. Very annoying fault. Tyres are all the same size and tread is the same depth all round.

I think something must be loose or have a dodgy connection but what??

Not sure exactly, there was a similar problem some time ago, I did look for the post but cannot find it, it was one of those "no never, oh yes I see now" kind of problems.

What diag equipment did you use?

Star was used and the advisory notice reads.

Fault is stored in Component N15/3 P0720
Vehicle speed implausible P0500
Left rear speed single
Right rear
Left front
Right front
CAN fault with communications to N47-5 ESP & BAS control unit
Steering angle sensor is not initilised
Traction control system control unit N47.

It looks like a control unit problem due to all the fault codes.

Check the wiring to the unit for loose contact and corrosion.

where is it and does it have to be programmed to the car or is it just a swop out?

It maybe one of two.

Under the bonnet at the ABS pump or under the drivers footwell. It will have to be coded.

Hope you find it OK.

Definitely looks like you unfortunately managed to shake something loose! Line 7 of the diagnostics looks like the root problem to me. All the others would emanate from that IMHO.
