Accident please help

I got my garage of choice - local MB approved repairer but had to forfeit having a courtesy car (small price IMO). However, my car was immobile so I couldn't really go round getting quotes.

I'd pushd for the MB bodyshop if you can.

Just received a quote from MB approved bodyshop. It was a shock. To think that i would pay privately for it so not to lose NCB.

The total cost for a 8" dent and a few scratches is £1650 .The car needs new front wing and front door skin, new side sill and chrome strip, paintjob on scratches alonside the passenger side all the way to the back wheel arches. Can't believe that car hit be on the front side....it seems to have scraped all the side right to the back wheels. Its a shame the other driver hasn't contacted the police or come forward.

Well thats me paying higher premiums for a while now.
